Please be advised that on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from
12 noon – 4 pm, the Health PEI Policy Document Management System (PDMS) will be unavailable
as it undergoes scheduled maintenance.
Staff requiring policy
documents during this planned downtime can contact the Health PEI Policy Office
(healthpeipolicy@ihis.org) to
request a copy of the policy.
Users in 24/7 acute care
facilities are reminded that they can also access policy documents via 724
Downtime Computers with the below icon
Users in other facilities and
sites are also reminded that they can access policy documents through
their designated PDMS Backup drive users. Managers/
Supervisors/designates please contact the HPEI Policy account (healthpeipolicy@ihis.org) for any
questions regarding your department or staff’s access to the backup drive.
Please note that policy
documents on the 724 Downtime Computers and PDMS Backup drive should only be
used when the PDMS is not operational on your work device.

Policy Documents managed in the PDMS include: policies and procedures, protocol documents, standards, guidelines and Health PEI Protocols. This central repository is considered the source of truth for Health PEI and is intended to replace all hardcopy and other electronic policy manuals from all sites.

New Templates Effective January 1, 2026
The Health PEI Policy Office has updated our policy document templates. Effective January 1, 2026 all policy documents submitted for Policy Office review or PDMS posting must be in the new templates. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact the Health PEI Policy Office.
