PDMS updated with vendor required Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
PDMS users will now be required to authenticate
their first login of the day as well as after a 30 minute period of
inactivity in the PDMS. At this time, no adjustments to vendor MFA
requirements can be made to extend the length of time before MFA is required
again, so we are working with ITSS and the vendor to explore alternative
options.
Due
to the short notice users are receiving of vendor required MFA beginning
immediately after this upgrade and the inability to modify the reauthentication
periods, staff can revert to the following options until further
notification is received.
- Users in 24/7 acute care
facilities can also access policy documents via 724 Downtime Computers
with the below icon

- Users in other facilities and
sites can access policy documents through their designated PDMS
Backup drive users. Managers/ Supervisors/designates please contact
the HPEI Policy account (healthpeipolicy@ihis.org)
for any questions regarding your department or staff’s access to the
backup drive.
- Users requiring policy
documents during this planned downtime and during business hours (Monday –
Friday 7 am – 4 pm) can contact the Health PEI Policy Office (healthpeipolicy@ihis.org) to
request a copy of the policy.
For
users who would like to continue using the PDMS with vendor required MFA, instructions on
setting this up are can be found in the email communications or by contacting the Health PEI Policy Office (healthpeipolicy@ihis.org).
